MUSIC IS A MORAL LAW,
IT GIVES SOUL TO THE UNIVERSE
WINGS TO THE MIND.
FLIGHT TO THE IMAGINATION
A CHARM TO SADNESS
GAIETY AND LIFE TO EVERYTHING.
IT IS THE ESSENCE
OF ORDER AND LENDS TO ALL
THAT IS GOOD,JUST, AND BEAUTIFUL.

In the article below, I referred to the roles of the Cello and Violin in the Double Concerto in a gender orientated sense! I was a bit surprised that I had done that as it's not how I conceived the Concerto originally. so here comes a correction.

' Venus Conjunct Mars ' sings of a Love Story indeed but not with the usual perception of a Love relationship within which there is a defined role according to gender. In fact Venus conjunct Mars plays out something very different.

It was conceived originally as the Love Song of The Animus and Anima. That is to say , the Soul. Neither instrument is cast in any one role...they are absolutely not separate and yet are capable of  ' Individuality '. The result is that they both express Animus/Anima qualities either together or Individually at any given moment in the Music.

I got the idea originally after reading again the story of the Garden of Eden, where if you remember, Adam and Eve were naked and totally at One. Then along came the old Serpent ( Human Ego??? ) , Eve ate of the Tree of Knowledge and Hey Presto, they suddenly started to feel awkward with each other and began to cover themselves.

.For my purposes in this work , that was the moment that competitive gender roles were projected into the physical world .
