MUSIC IS A MORAL LAW,
IT GIVES SOUL TO THE UNIVERSE
WINGS TO THE MIND.
FLIGHT TO THE IMAGINATION
A CHARM TO SADNESS
GAIETY AND LIFE TO EVERYTHING.
IT IS THE ESSENCE
OF ORDER AND LENDS TO ALL
THAT IS GOOD,JUST, AND BEAUTIFUL.

Something has been ' brewing'....I can feel it, almost hear it but not quite . Today I realised that it is a Composition based on Revelations'!(Also, Eckhart Tolle's book ' A New Earth' has been a great inspiration to me.)

It's easy to dismiss the ancient Biblical Writings....I mostly do myself!! But  some years ago I read Edgar Cayce's commentaries on ' Revelations'. Somehow ,what I  read completely matches our modern day dilemma and proposed a possible solution for a World dominated by Violence, Prejudice and Cruelty ...in a word, Unconsciousness .

 A Solution? Well!! It ain't ' out there'....it's ' in here' .!!!

I have spent the last week orchestrating 'Ave Maria' ..if you haven't heard it, have a listen to it in it's original form for Soprano Solo and Piano.

I had a really interesting morning at the Cafe this morning. I took my score as usual but was joined eventually by my french grandchild.

I turned the paper over and drew a stave ( 5 lines ) and then drew a note on the line C.....I asked Alice what C could mean? , We got Cat, Cockerel, Cuckoo but she decided on the Cockerel and so she drew a small Cockerel in the circle representing C.

Then we turned our attention to D ( the next note up ) ...was it Dog? Duck?  Yes!! that's the one...so again, she drew a small quacking Duck in the circle representing the note D and so on until we reached the 8th note or the Octave. She found this alot of fun.
